thekidspick helps parents, educators, and families discover websites, apps, videos, and places for curious kids. This policy explains what information we may collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may receive:
- Searches, filters, and basic interaction events used to operate and improve the directory.
- Information you include when suggesting a resource, such as a resource name, URL, notes, and an optional contact email.
- Technical information such as browser type, device information, approximate location, and error logs.
- Cookie or analytics information only when those tools are enabled and permitted by applicable law.
The current demo may use sample resources and local fixtures. We do not need an account for ordinary browsing.
How we use information
We may use information to provide search and ranking features, review and moderate submissions, respond to messages, maintain security, understand site performance, prevent abuse, and improve the service.
Children’s privacy
thekidspick is designed for adults who are choosing resources for children. We ask that resource suggestions and other submissions be made by a parent, educator, or other adult. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to provide personal information. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Sharing information
We may share information with service providers that help us host, secure, analyze, or operate the service, and when required to comply with law or protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal information. Resource pages may link to third-party websites; those sites have their own privacy practices.
Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, or as required by law. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee complete security.
Your choices and contact
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information you have provided, subject to applicable law. Email privacy@thekidspick.com with questions or requests.

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the revised version here and update the date above.
